Terms & Conditions

Welcome to UDBHAV'26, the 24-hour Grand Hackathon organized by Alta School of Technology, Sage University, Indore. By registering for and participating in this hackathon, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Eligibility & Participation
  • Only shortlisted teams from Round 1 (via Unstop) are eligible to register for Round 2.
  • Each team must consist of 2 to 4 members, including a designated team leader.
  • All team members must be currently enrolled students at a recognized college or university in India.
  • A valid team code (sent via email after shortlisting) is required to complete registration.
  • Each participant can only be part of one team.
Registration & Payment
  • Registration fee is ₹800 per team (non-refundable unless hackathon is cancelled by the organizers).
  • Optional mentor session add-on is available for an additional ₹300.
  • All payments are processed securely through Razorpay.
  • Registration is confirmed only after successful payment. Pending payments will not be considered.
  • Teams must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
Code of Conduct
  • All participants must adhere to the UDBHAV'26 Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
  • All project submissions must be original work created during the hackathon.
  • Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team that violates these terms.
Intellectual Property
  • Participants retain full ownership of the projects they build during the hackathon.
  • Organizers may use project names, descriptions, and screenshots for promotional purposes.
  • By participating, teams grant UDBHAV'26 a non-exclusive license to showcase their project.

The organizers reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Participants will be notified of any material changes via email. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all UDBHAV'26 participants. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

Information We Collect:

  • Registration data: Team name, college name, branch, year of study.
  • Personal details: Full name, email address, and phone number of each team member.
  • Payment information: Payment transaction ID, order ID (processed via Razorpay — we do not store card/bank details).
  • Technical data: IP address and browser user-agent for fraud prevention.

How We Use Your Information:

  • To process and confirm your hackathon registration and payment.
  • To communicate hackathon updates, schedules, and important announcements.
  • To verify identity and eligibility at the hackathon venue.
  • To resolve payment disputes or provide customer support.

Data Sharing:

  • We share payment data with Razorpay solely for payment processing.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
  • Data may be shared with hackathon sponsors only in aggregated, anonymized form (e.g., total registrations).

Data Retention & Security:

  • Registration data is stored securely on MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest.
  • Data is retained for up to 12 months after the hackathon for administrative purposes, then deleted.
  • You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at udbhav@sage.edu.in.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund Conditions
  • Hackathon cancellation by organizers: Full refund will be issued within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
  • Hackathon postponement: Registration remains valid for the rescheduled date. If unable to attend, a full refund will be offered.
  • Participant cancellation: Registration fee is non-refundable once payment is confirmed, as hackathon resources are allocated immediately.
  • Duplicate payments: If charged twice due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded within 5–7 business days.
  • Payment failure: If payment was deducted but registration was not confirmed, contact us within 48 hours for resolution.

How to Request a Refund:

  • Email udbhav@sage.edu.in with your team name, registration ID, and Razorpay payment ID.
  • Refund requests for eligible cases will be processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during registration.

Cancellation by Organizers:

The organizers reserve the right to cancel or modify the hackathon due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure, insufficient registrations, venue issues, etc.). In such cases, all registered participants will be notified via email and eligible for a full refund.
